A reclusive individual, Yoshida was instrumental in the early design elements of the Pokemon video games. Yoshida joined the Pokemon Company alongside historic figures such as Mitsuhiro Arita, Ken Sugimori, and Atsuko Nishida, in 2003. Since then, he has designed a small number of Pokemon, and has illustrated many cards.
